I recently spent an afternoon or two reading Steven Pressfield‘s “Do The Work.” Yes, it’s short. (No it’s not too short.) It’s just right.

Do The Work by Steven Pressfield

Steven wrote powerfully and swiftly, leaving the reader no reason (or time) to doubt his assertiveness. I have to say, he hit this ball out of the park and leaves you with a punch. This review will be short in accordance with the style of the book.

    Why you should read this:

We face all forms of resistance when leaving our comfort zone.

We benefit most as people when we’re uncomfortable. Flexing, growing, flowing, learning, changing, DOING.

Whenever we dream up something that we one day might DO, resistance will be there from the moment of creation. The moment the idea strikes, resistance exists.

Read this and get over it.

Steven is great, doesn’t give you room for excuses, doesn’t even stop to take a breath.

    Honest. Simple. Motivating.

There’s nothing to regret here, no time wasted, no complex systems, no implementation or adjustment period. Just doing.

It’s cheap. (You can even listen to it on audio if you’re really busy!)

And you can read it in a day.

You’ll come away a better person. If you’d like to know what’s stopping you, where your fears come from, or why you’re resisting anything in your life, read this book.

If you want to go deeper, read The War of Art.
